I bought these miu miu in January right on Prada's family sale. They're totally ideal animal-printed ankle boots, pefect with denim shirts.

impeccable rabbit hair, though I know they might be peeled off after years, just like my fur coat-damn-.

                         And then now I'm thinking about selling these YSL out. I've got my footprints on, aha, but they're still beautiful in no matter shapes or colours. The only reason I'm planning to sell is just because I'm coveted for an extremely expensive coat.

level up the houndtooth

 

Salvatore Ferragamo leveled up the houndtooth in to a pattern that might go with every suit. From the tiny tooth to a giant hound's,  from match up with checked things to a low-key leopard pattern, basically it seems glamour, elegant and absolutely italian. But, I was thinking about my best memory about houndtooth, it might be still the look of Balenciaga from years ago. Ghesquiere used some slicky/ high-tech texture to construct a very architectural jacket in black and also used cotton and wonderful cutting to create one in houndtooth. awesome. Then we turn back to Ferragamo, now this pattern could be feminine/classic, a bit masculine, vintage, sexy...To me, it's a very nice try, even the big/small houndtooth patched jumper.

 

Like it! the jacket is a bit like a vintage houndtooth coat I bought from US ebay about weeks ago. The black collared jacket's inspiration might come from 70s.

Erdem and Paul Smith

 Many designers thought that prints are the simplest part for fashion design since it doesn't need much techniques or skills to complete it. But, I personally think that Erdem and Matthew Williamson prove that they're wrong.

Every pring on the clothing totally look like an oil painting, as the work of impressionist.

honestly the shape and glove, if you replace the print with a saturate colour and the satin, you might probably mistaken it as Lanvin.

love the shirt and maxi skirt, I got a vintage Lanvin shirt, look a bit like this one. But the textures from Erdem seem  to be quite soft and light, then the colourful flowers may further blow in the wind.

 

Paul Smith. it reminds me Tina Fey or any nerdy/ harvard/ doctorate-to-be women in the lab. surely they are smart-arse, but frankly speaking, is it...design? I'll say Paul Smith is more like a good stylist for women collection. Every piece is quite practical for ready-to-wear, I deeply believe that they got a huge potential to be hot-selling in A/W. However, I don't need to get to Paul Smith...it's too easy to dig out something else similar instead. 

So I'll say, just save your pocket and try to have a good find in your father's wardrobe or steal sth from your boyfriend, as a loose knit wear, and pair it up with any of your fitted shirt/ peg trousers, as easy as it can be.

孩子

聯合航空的飛機上，婦女手裡捧著一樣東西。透過她的微笑跟黃色緞面的布料，鑲嵌上的亮片，我一度以為那是個孩子，白白胖胖的孩子，戴著一頂福氣、畫著龍虎鳳的帽子。


我先幻想了一遍她們的生活。從遠方住在山頂上的小屋裡，家的旁邊便是一流小溪。出生的時候，婦人花費不少力氣，額頭滿是汗滴，由隔壁鄰居幫她去溪頭盛了一大木桶的水，才幫她擦去血水，把有點孱弱的嬰孩也給擦得白淨。這次去美國旅行，是對面山頭村落的老先生說，他兒子在洛杉磯做個華人餐館，有點著落，盤纏挺多不愁吃穿，又知道婦女帶個孩子，老公後來也跑了，著實沒什麼錢，所以給介紹了去美國探聽探聽。 婦女才從四川山上，第一次踏到上海，第一次把存了畢生的積蓄給拿出來買了一張機票去比佛利山。那名字聽上去太華麗又遙遠，她猜想不到目的地的風景。


站在走道旁邊的日本先生，原來坐在這婦女隔壁，即使操著不同語言，婦女大抵也知道他是要坐進去三個ABC連續位的中間那位。日本中年男子比了一比，婦人帶著一臉笑意，她可能一句也不懂，又或者不太願意抱孩子站起，於是她稍微挪了一挪位子，往裡頭一格坐去，把毯子跟抱枕先丟給日本大哥，像是中國大陸首次向東洋軍方致上友誼的敬意。


我方才看到，原來帽子底下不是內地人民最常見到的紅臉娃兒，不是戴著小虎帽的男丁，也沒有誰從山頂上生活好幾載要去比佛利。它竟是一個臉比孩子更小的無生命體，又或者，我不能保證是否有靈魂附著其上的雕像。她是媽祖，或者菩薩。

用我極其貧乏的道教知識，沒能認出它的臉孔，只知道身上的袍子、頭上的帽子跟祥和的微笑，肯定說明了這尊雕像是個要人膜拜的神祉，不是無名的誰誰誰，不是哪個信徒把自己祖先刻來帶著隨身。只有附帶著強大信仰的女神，能讓婦人願意不在乎旁人的眼光，遠赴重洋，帶著唯一相信的神祉，去遙遠的美洲探望，也許還在這塊陌生的土地落地生根。

很多華埠餐廳，事實上也一樣供奉著男性神像，一如關公或者足以保民安康的帝王聖君。我從來沒想過那些願意把生命放逐在金髮碧眼、毫無熟悉臉孔的國度之人，他們一句洋文也不會說，或許中文字正腔圓都有問題，要怎麼在異地找到讓自己心安的信仰，怎麼找出家鄉的味道？

可能讓佛像坐飛機是個方法。

靈魂沒有重量，並不需要買票。

一個穿了衣帽的雕像，其實在洋人眼裡，可能是一個充滿異國風味的芭比娃娃，可能代表了中國文化的東方化，毫無恐怖攻擊的可能性，也並不需要為它脫帽脫靴安檢通過。

那必然比裝在大量製造紙盒裡的塑料娃娃要來得費工，你可能得找個手推車為它作嫁才能輕鬆，而這在機場也沒辦法臨時以紀念品或者限量版的方式買進。不會有限量版長髮媽祖娃娃或者APE乘以菩薩，因此必然你也得小心翼翼保護那極其唯一的唯一。

也就是如此，婦人才為它穿上最珍貴的衣衫，雙手環抱著。捧著人生中的依靠，在海上，在空中，她抱著雕像只有幾千克重，可是依託其上，那自己叨叨絮語的孤魂才是最沉重。

vintage shirts

 

Yes, two more vintage shirts from a little shop in Taipei. I've got over 30 shirts by far, but all kinds of white shirts are my best friends, they could go with everything. Whether you'll like to have a victorian try/ simplism/ mannish Wilde look, white shirts are ur best pals.

And I love kimono and Japanese paintings lately though this shirt doesn't seem too much like me...

Proenza Schouler

Proenza Schouler's AW collection totally reminds me my trip in Quai Branley.
Those patterns seem so much like the aboriginal crafts from the tribe Miao or the native american, but surely they use more prints instead of the hand-crafting techniques from tribes.

 

first, they extend the knit onto the trousers, so that they're a bit chunky but full of volumne. 

second, the weaved, patched jumper reveals the uber techniques just as those aboriginal people's legacy from the ancester, yet surely load more modern and chic anyhow.

Third, the hi-tech fabric, metallic colour and the tribal pattern are a fun combination. I thought it was the patent of Dries Van Noten, but obviously Lazaro and Jack could do so as well.

Fourth, love the simple and saturate red and yellow. blending in the simplism into aboriginal razzmatazz makes the trend a whole new story and balance the complicated patterns.

Fifth, velvet, leather, silk...they cast a magic on the fabrics. Thin materials turn heavy for the rich colours, and the seemingly tough leather turned soft and thin for its cutting. Interesting.
